Application error when importing raw data seabiscuit  2025-09-17 18:20

Hi, I recently updated my Skyline to V25.1. It can open my old project or create new project with no issue. But when I tried to import raw MS data (from Thermo Quantiva MS). I got an application error and the program quits. Please see the attachment for the screenshot of the error message.

Thank you.

Can you send us your Skyline document and that .raw file?
In Skyline you can use the menu item:
File > Share
to create a .zip file containing your Skyline document and supporting files including extracted chromatograms.

Files which are less than 50MB can be attached to these support requests. That .raw file will probably be bigger than that, so you can upload it here:
https://skyline.ms/files.url

My guess is that there is something about that .raw file which is causing the crash.
If you're not sure which .raw file is causing the crash, you can send us all of the files from that folder.
Usually, if a .raw file is causing Skyline to crash, you would see the same sort of crash if you tried to use SeeMS.exe from ProteoWizard.

After we see your files we will probably be able to figure out what is going wrong.

Sorry for the duplicate. I just replied via email.

Thank you for the quick response. It only happens after I update it to the V25.1. I cannot import any Thermo MS raw file after the upgrade, which I was able to do with the V24. I tried to reboot and reinstall it, but the problem is still there. I am wondering if you can share with a download link for the 24.1 version, which I have been using for a long time with no issues. I could not find the link on the website.

What did you say in the email? Those messages go to a place that is not actively monitored so it will take a few days for me to see it.

You can install older versions of Skyline by going to the "Unplugged" installer page:
https://skyline.ms/wiki/home/software/Skyline/page.view?name=install-64-disconnected

After you click "I agree" there is an "Archive" link where you can download any older version of Skyline.
