We need a wiki page under Tips > Quantification > Normalization that explains all the various types of normalization that we support.
At least:
Ratio to reference standards (light:heavy)
Ratio to surrogate standards (area:surrogate)
Ratio to global standards (area:global)
Median normalization (area * median area / median of median areas)
Median normalization with reference standards (area * median heavy area / median of median heavy areas)
TIC normalization (area * TIC / median TIC)
Maybe also explaining the difference between peptides, proteins, and molecules. And Tukey's Median Polish.
