Importing DIANN library anirudhkashyap511  2025-08-29 10:10

Hi Skyline Team,

When I try to import the Skyline library, I get an error saying that the .parquet file is missing the column Global.Q.Value. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error message. Could you help me figure out what I might be doing wrong?

I have also attached the parquet file and the lib file. I used DIANN 1.9.1

I am not the expert on creating spectral libraries from DIA-NN, but it might be helpful if you could send us all of the files that are in the same folder as that .speclib file.

Can you send us all of the files that you have in that folder that you found the .speclib file in?
You can package all of those files up in a .zip file and upload them here:

I had the same problem with DIANN 2.2 and skyline 25.1.0.237 - do you know what could be the source for this? I attach a zip file with the outputs from the DIANN analysis - the relevant file for skyline is P4_library.parquet.skyline.speclib

Ronen,

I think this will work if you delete the file "P4_library.parquet".
When that file is there, Skyline gives the error:
ERROR: file P4_library.parquet does not have a column called Global.Q.Value

There is another file in your folder, "P4.parquet" which does have that column.
I think if you delete "P4_library.parquet" then the other .parquet file will be used instead and you will be able to successfully build your library.
I have attached the .blib file which I built after deleting "P4_library.parquet".
