Skyline Isnt Opening

Hi Skyline Team,

I tried opening Skyline today, but it's not launching. Similarly, Skyline Runner isn't opening either. Everything was working fine yesterday, and I haven't made any changes since then. Could you suggest any steps I can take to troubleshoot and figure out what's happening?

Are you seeing any sort of error message?
Usually there is some sort of error message when Skyline cannot start.
I think there was a user many years ago who had a problem that Skyline would not start. That problem turned out to have something to do with the way that Windows sometimes refuses to run some programs on your computer in order to protect you from programs from unknown sources.
Usually, Windows presents you with a window that lets you choose "More Info" and then "Run Anyway", but there was I guess some reason that Windows was not even offering that.

The usual way to deal with Skyline not starting is to go into "Programs and Features" in Windows Control Panel and uninstall Skyline and install it again from the web site.
If you are unable to get the regular Skyline installer to work you might have more success with the "Unplugged" installer:

There’s no error message at all. When I checked the Task Manager, I noticed that Skyline appears briefly in the processes and then disappears. I’ll likely try reinstalling it to see if that resolves the issue.

I tried that, when i try to install it. It says, application cant be installed. Contact the vendor.

When you get the "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor" message, there should be a "Details" button.
Can you send us the text file that you get shown when you push the "Details" button?

The error that you are getting is "Lock timeout exception".
I asked ChatGPT what to do about this and it suggested several things including run the following to clear the ClickOnce cache:
rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache
