Hello,
What is the best way or format to export and save images from skyline with publication quality? I know we can copy the metafile directly and use it.
Ideally, I would like to share these images with collaborator (not a skyline operator), such that they can use this vector-based file to edit in AI/Inkscape.

You want to choose "Emf Format (*.emf)" in the form you get to with right-click > Save Image As...

This is the only vector format file (i.e. the equivalent of right-click > Copy Metafile). All of the other formats are raster formats.

You can also always use Copy Metafile and paste into another program that can understand the metafile on the clipboard as a way of sharing the vector graphic with someone not using Skyline.

Hope is what you are looking for. Thanks for posting to the Skyline support board.

This answers my question. The emf format is what I typically use.
Thank you!
