Exporting isolation list for Thermo Eclipse mnissa  2023-01-30 10:18

Dear Support team,
I am using Skyline-daily (64-bit) 22.2.1.391
I am planning for a PRM experiment on Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Eclipse mass spectrometer. How can I export isolation list for this instrument.?

Best regards
Mehar

Hi Mehar,
It may be that a Thermo Fusion isolation list will work for the Thermo Eclipse. If not, can you detail for us the differences between what you get and what you need?

Otherwise, you may need to use File > Export > Method where we just enabled method export for the Thermo Eclipse. You need to provide a template method file, but then Skyline will add the precursors for your PRM to that template. Often this is preferable to exporting the isolation list and then importing it into a template method manually.

Hope this helps. Thanks for posting to the Skyline support board.

Dear Brendan,
Thermo Fusion isolation list doesn't directly works for Eclipse system.
I could see a small difference between the two. It is that the name of the column head for FUSION is t end (min) which is t (stop) min in Eclipse. I changed that manually in the csv file for running in Eclipse.

Thanks for the information about the other option. I tried doing that and it shows an error saying
Registry key not found. OrbitrapEclipse is not installed on this machine (picture attached)

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Mehar
