mzTab Output from Skyline mhadisur  2022-01-12 11:09

Hi,

I want to upload the PRM data (manually curated) that I analyzed in Skyline into the MassIVE repository. The MassIVE repository requires the result files, such as mzIdentML and mzTab. How do I export the Skyline results in mzTab format compatible with MassIVE?

Thank you for the help!

Hi Marco,
Did you know that Panorama Public is part of the ProteomeXchange? It makes it really easy to share your data for publication and the processed data handled by Panorama is a Skyline document.

The data can be assigned a PX ID and is indexed as part of the same system as MassIVE. If you have a Skyline document as your results it is definitely easiest to share the data in Panorama Public.

Let us know if you need any help,
Mike

Hi Marco,

As Mike said, it is easy to share Skyline documents associated with manuscripts on Panorama Public, a member repository of the ProteomeXchange Consortium. First, you will need to sign up for account on the PanoramaWeb server - https://panoramaweb.org/signup.url.
You will find more information on how to put your data on Panorama Public on this page - https://panoramaweb.org/doc_panorama_public.url.
Please let us know if you have any questions. You can also post your questions to the PanoramaWeb support board - https://panoramaweb.org/support.url

Thanks,
Vagisha

Thank you for the responses and the detailed explanation.

I already signed up for an account on the PanoramaWeb server. Currently, I think Nat Brace is helping me to get that set up. Hope to get the access by next week.

Great that this is working via Panorama Public. Still, is there a way to produce an mzTab export?
I am at a similar point and like to upload more data with the skyline analysis and want to proceed via MassIVE.

Best, Dennis
