Existing Quantitative Experiment Tutorial_Peptide Setting problems doloph  2020-03-27

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am currently trying to get familiar with your excellent software and am therefore working through the provided Tutorials. However, while I was working on the Existing Quantitative Experiment I am facing some problems. The user interface looks quite different when setting up the data and the program does not allow to pick the expected "Labels:13C(6)15N(4) from the drop down menu. Additionally, when typing in the parameters manually the, software gives back several error codes. Does someone know what I have to change?

Kind regards,

The problem is that you are trying to add a Structural Modification, but the tutorial is telling you to add an Isotope Modification.

On the dialog page:
Settings > Peptide Settings > Modifications
there are actually two "Edit List" buttons.

The tutorial says to click the "Edit List" button that is next to the "Isotope Modifications" box. That's the lower of the two "Edit List" buttons.

It looks like you clicked the upper "Edit List" button (the one next to "Structural Modifications").

Thanks a lot Nick!

You are absolutly right. I did find the described settings in the "Isotope Modifications" section.
