Import notes in skyline Fabian  2019-02-01 08:39

Dear Skyline team,

I have a transition list containing small molecules.
I can export this list in a way that it contain notes:
Protein Note:
Peptide Note:
Precursor Note:
Transition Note:

However I do not see a possibility to import these notes into skyline.
This is also interesting for me since some notes I made are not added in skyline.
Btw. is this possible for peptides.

Any advices are very wellcome!

Thanks!

Fabian

Hi Fabian,

For small molecule transition list import there is a Note column available, it populates the Transition Note. You could populate the others via the Document grid, but that's not very automated.

But perhaps this helps?

Thanks for using the Skyline support board!!

Oh, and as for peptides, Document Grid again. I don't think it's supported on import though.

There is a menu item:
File > Import > Annotations which tell Skyline to read from a .csv file a bunch of things such as Notes, annotations, or other things.

There is also a menu item:
File > Export > Annotations which lets you export these same things to a .csv file. This menu item is also helpful for showing what all the things are that can be imported, and what the format of the .csv file should be.
