Dear. Skyline software developer.

I have tried to install Skyline, but get the message "Application download did not succeed. Check your network connection, or contact your system administrator or network service provider."
I have tried to run the set-up.exe as Administrator, but I get the same message. Do you know a way of solving this problem?

This is usually related to an issue with your network security. Some networks don't seem to like our setup.exe making the HTTP requests it does.

The simplest workaround, which works in most cases is to look inside the log file you posted for the URL to a file named "Skyline.application". When you find that, then you can copy the URL and paste it into the trusted web browser you are using (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge or IE) and request the URL. That usually succeeds and allows installation to continue to success.

If not, then you may need to work with your IT or move to one of the other installation options (which lack automatic updates) other than the web installer.

In your case the URL from the log file is:

https://skyline.gs.washington.edu/software/Skyline-release-64_4_2/Skyline.application

Hope this allows you to install Skyline successfully.
