Some small issue with Skyline 4.1 schen19  2018-01-12 08:38

Hi Skyline team,

Thanks for the new update! I really like some of the new features such as the ones on Document Grid. I used to do the data rearrangement in MS Excel but now I can do it within Skyline. However, I noticed that when I group the Peak Area view by annotations, clicking on the peak area bar of certain group no longer brings up the corresponding chromatogram. This is not a big issue but it would be convenient to have the function back.

Also, the detail slides attached to the new update announcement don't seem to be publicly accessible either.

Thanks!
Shimin

Hi Shimin,
We will have a look at the bar clicking behavior while grouped and try to get that fixed in the first patch release and the next Skyline-daily. What was the old behavior? Which replicate got activated when a bar was the sum of many replicates? What are you expecting exactly, so that we can be sure to achieve it?

I am not having any issues accessing the detail slides when I am not logged into the website. Can you describe what you are seeing, or provide screenshot of what you mean by "don't seem to be publicly accessible"? It sounds like you got to them somehow if you are already using the pivot editor. Glad to hear you like it!

Hi Brendan,

Thanks for the quick response!
I attached a screenshot of the problem. You can see that the selection box in the Peak Area view always stays on the Expected Peak Area and even when I click on other group (such as NRSF), the chromatogram remains unchanged. The old behavior while grouped was that when I click on the peak area bar of a certain group, the selection box goes to the selected Peak Area Bar and brings up the chromatogram of one of the replicate in the group, and if I click on it one more time, it shows the chromatogram of next replicate in the group, and so on and so forth.

The screenshot of the issue with the detail slides is also attached.

Hope that is clearer. Let me know if there's more I can do to explain it better!

Thanks,
Shimin
