Updating after changing Full-Scan filters gwilson9  2017-10-03 12:56

Hi All,

Thanks for a great tool and a lot of technical resources, as well.

I have been having an issue, that when I change the retention time setting in 'Transition setting'->'Full-scan' (Use only scans within ... minutes of MS/MS IDs) it does not change the results. And when I try to force the data to update by Re-importing in 'Manage Results', the process does not go through. All that happens is a '*' appears in front of each raw file's name.

My only work around has been to start from scratch with the new retention time window. Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks!

Edit > Manage Results > Reimport
is certainly supposed to work.

After you click "OK" in the Manage Results dialog, Skyline is supposed to notice if you have selected one or more files for reimport, and then Skyline is supposed to do the work of extracting chromatograms from those files again.
Is it possible that you closed the Manage Results dialog some other way than clicking "OK"? (e.g. escape, cancel button, or the "X" in the top right corner).

Maybe you could send us your files.
In Skyline, you can use the menu item:
File > Share > (Complete)
to create a .zip file containing your Skyline document and supporting files, including extracted chromatograms.

You can upload that .zip file, as well as at least one of your .raw files here:
https://skyline.ms/files.url

I will try to figure out what is going wrong.

What version of Skyline are you using? We did fix a problem with Edit > Manage Results - Re-import probably within the past year.
