Hi Vendula,
It looks like I made a mistake updating the Skyline-daily installation pages that has not apparently affected everyone, but I have now updated to something I think will work better. Give it a try, and let us know on this thread how it worked out for you.
Thanks for your extra effort to get Skyline-daily updated.

Hi Brendan,
thank you for your help, unfortunately, it doesn´t work. It seems there is the same problem. I´m not sure, where the fault is, because I didn´t have similar problems before.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi Brendan,
yes, I can download this Skyline-daily.application, but it doesn´t run. I tried to restart my PC several times, but unfortunately nothing changed.

Hi Vendula,
You may be stuck installing the disconnected version. You can download an installer in a ZIP file which will require no network connection, but then, of course, you will be stuck upgrading manually every time, which is certainly less than ideal for Skyline-daily.
Otherwise, you can continue to investigate what might be going on by trying other similar computers around you. Do any of them have this problem? Or do the same steps that are failing for you work without issue on other computers in your lab or wherever you are?

Hi Brendan,
I have a similar problem on our lab computer (probably WinXP, 32bit, can't check at the moment), Skyline-daily can't be started and says it is already installed in a different location. I haven't tried to reinstall it on that computer yet.
I have tried installing Skyline-daily on my friend's computer (Win7, 64bit) and it works without a glitch in there. We tried both 64bit and 32bit installer.
As for my personal laptop, it is Win Vista 32bit and I have gathered a log from my installation attempt of Skyline-daily.application file. It is attached. Unfortunately lots of the text is in Czech, but the main error message seems to be (after translation):
"Deployment and application do not have matching security zones."
My friend tried to search the internet for this error message and said I should link the following webpages for you:
http://codeketchup.blogspot.cz/2013/06/how-to-fix-deployment-and-application.html
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9227105/clickonce-application-error-deployment-and-application-do-not-have-matching-sec/26427956#26427956
He thinks that this is maybe a problem when generating the application file and some security settings need to be adjusted in your VisualStudio before publishing it. Maybe this problem affects only older Windows versions like XP and Vista?
Thanks for your help,
Vendula |

As far as I know, it is impossible to install Skyline-Daily on Windows XP, because Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5.1 is not available for XP.
I have successfully installed Skyline-Daily on Windows Vista, so I will need more details to figure out why this does not work for you.
Which version of which web browser are you using to download and install Skyline?
The error message about "security zones" sounds like it might have something to do with the stuff on the "Security" tab under "Internet Options" in Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have attached a picture of that dialog, although I am not very familiar with how to use it. |

Hello Nick,
thanks for great pointers! I finally got it working on my laptop with Vista, and it seems it was really a problem on my setup, not in Skyline application. I'm sorry for taking the time of all of you.
What I did is that I ran Internet Explorer, went to its settings, and reset everything back to default - the security zones, the advanced tab, everything. Even though I'm not aware that I changed anything in there in the past (I don't use IE, but Firefox instead), it helped! Thanks for your suggestion, I guess I would not have found it out otherwise.
As for our Win XP machine, thanks for letting me know. It seems we will definitely need to upgrade it now :-)
Thanks a lot once again,
