Skyline Batch use of sample list Juan C. Rojas E.  2021-09-21 08:49

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to import a sample list (e.g. csv file) to Skyline Batch with the exact files I would like to download? Sometimes a general expression won't solve everything (?) or perhaps I just don't know how to use it fully.

Or maybe an interactive box that allows selecting which files are desired after visualizing the contents in a server space (e.g. PXD project)?

Sincerely,
JC

Hi Juan,
Can you give us the example you are working with? Good feedback, but I am also still wondering if we can help you come up with a regular expression that will work for you.

Thanks for posting this to the Skyline support board.

Hi Brendan,

I am trying to work with a subset of the data used in this work:

http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/s41467-021-25454-1

Attached is a list with the files of interest (Sample_list.csv).

I tried using some naming patterns to capture the ones of interest but always end up downloading more than needed (example: Fig 1) and have to repeat the process with multiple naming patterns. If there is a smarter way to do this with the current functionalities I would appreciate it.

As always, thank you for your time and help.
Sincerely,
JC

You can specify a set of names (or patterns) separated by pipes (see attached image). It is somewhat cumbersome, but it should allow you to specify with great precision exactly the files you want.

Hope this helps. We will also try to improve the UI to make it easier to make more exact file set choices.

Thanks again for your feedback with this helpful example.

Awesome! This should work nicely for this case.

Thanks a lot for the quick response and solution to this request.
