Chromatogram information unavailable error with training files Max  2019-07-18 01:06

Hi,

i am a new user to Skyline - i want to use it for quantitative analysis of small molecule LC-MS data. The installation was no problem, however, i am walking through the webinar 16 and when I import the webinar training result files i do not get any chromatogram. It always gives me the Chromatogram information unavailable error. I am running on a german Windows 10 system - I have changed the settings for the decimal seperation to . an the number dividers to , as in the US. Can you please give me a hand.

cheers from germany,

Max

Can you send us what you have ended up with? I will try to figure out what has gone wrong.

In Skyline, you can use the menu item:
File > Share
to create a .zip file containing your Skyline document and supporting files including whatever chromatograms might have been extracted.

If that .zip file is less than 50MB you can attach it to this support request. Otherwise you can upload it here:
https://skyline.ms/files.url

It might also help if you could post a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Thanks Nick for the quick reply,

i have now started with 3.6 small molecule tutorial and here it works just fine. I have attached two zips: One for the not working webniar files and the second one for the working 3.6 files. I also attached the screenshots.

so long,

Max

Hi Nick,

i figured it out. I have downloaded the files directly from the webinar site and not through the tutorial option in Skyline itself. Using the files downloaded through the skyline tutporial option in Skyline itself it is not a problem to get the chromatograms. Probably there is something wrong with the files on the webinar page or something went wrong on my side. Nevertheless now i can work with the dataset. Thanks for the effort.

cheers,

Max

Hi Max,

It looks like you just mixed up the CE and RT import columns when working the tutorial, which pushed all your explicit peak times out past the end of the run.

Thanks for alerting us to a potential problem, though!
