Webinar #20: Using Skyline Batch for Large-Scale DIA

Even deep in summer "vacation season", over 160 attendees tuned in to Skyline Tutorial Webinar #20 to learn about our new tool, Skyline Batch, for batch processing DIA data.

Principal Developer Brendan MacLean provided a quick overview and the backstory about the push to bring automated scripting to Skyline through an easy-to-use GUI. Ali Marsh, a development intern who spent most of the last year implementing Skyline Batch in a "gap year" from MIT, then gave an overview of how Skyline Batch works.

Switching to live demonstration, Ali provided a guided tour of the graphical features of Skyline Batch and demonstrated the process of configuring the necessary settings to create an automated processing configuration. Brendan followed with a demo of how to prepare a Skyline document for use with Skyline Batch as the necessary starting template file. The tutorial sections were then followed by over 30 minutes of Q&A from the audience in attendance.

Dear Skyline Users,

We're back! With exciting new material to share through the Skyline Tutorial Webinar series. The Skyline Team would like to thank the 235 attendees who tuned in for Skyline Tutorial Webinar #19: Ion Mobility Spectrum Filtering in April, 2020.

Our next tutorial webinar will highlight one of Skyline's newest features -- the ability to automate Skyline processing pipelines with Skyline Batch a graphic UI, like AutoQC Loader, that runs Skyline command-line processing.
