2013 US HUPO Workshop

Statistical Methods for Quantitative Proteomics - Design of Experiments and Interpretation of Results
9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 10, 2013
Instructors: Olga Vitek (Purdue University), Brendan MacLean (University Washington) and Meena Choi (Purdue University)

Both global and targeted quantitative proteomic workflows rely on statistical considerations during both experimental planning and interpretation of the results. The course will introduce to the experimentalist how to approach all the elements (experimental design, mass spectrometry based measurements, computation / statistics, and biological interpretation) with the objective of getting the best outcome for preliminary investigations, and then refinements for follow-up. The course will contain both lectures and analysis of example experimental data sets.
