1. Open the attached .sky.zip file in Skyline.
2. "File > Save". This is necessary so that the "database_path" value in the "<background_proteome>" tag gets updated so that a ChangeSettings does not happen when the document opens.
3. Open the .sky file that was just saved.
4. Hover the mouse over the first Protein in the Targets tree.
Result:
Skyline hangs for several seconds while it does work to display the tooltip.
Most of the time is spent in "BackGroundProteome.GetPeptideAppearances".
