The following comments were posted to the support board:

I have a question about the file picker interface in Skyline. My raw data files typically resides fairly deep in the folder structure of our acquisition PC, and I access them either locally or remotely over the network. As far as I can tell, it is not possible to directly access a network share in order to import results in to Skyline, for instance through an UNC path (\\Computername\Folder1\Folder2). Is that correct, and are there any plans to implement this?
Secondly, I work around this issue by mapping our acquisition PC share to a drive letter in windows on my desktop PC. Still, my data lives several levels deep into a folder structure that I need to click through for importing files. It would be convenient for me to follow a shortcut that takes me most of the way into the folder tree. Unfortunately, the Skyline filepicker also does not show or follow any shortcuts in the file picker. Are there any plans to implement support for Windows shortcuts in Skyline?

We probably need to put a little more effort into this form, which hasn't seen a lot of improvement in the last several years. Because we can't use the Windows OpenFileDialog we miss out on a lot of features people have come to expect from this kind of form.

No particular milestone on this one, but I am moving everything to be assigned to a developer on the team. Seems like something you might fix for us, Matt.
