Dear Brendan,

By following step by step the tutorial "Skyline Targeted Method Refinement", I got an error while executing the instructions on page 6 (importing RAW file from worm_001.RAW to worm_0015.RAW):

Failed to build a cache for
'C:\_\download\Skyline\MethodRefine\WormUnrefined.sky'
[RawFile::ctor] Reading Thermo RAW files requires the list separator to be ','-adjust regional/language settings in the Control Panel.

May I please ask you to provide me a workaround?
My regional settings are Swiss German (company located in Basel/Switzerland).

Many thanks.

Best Regards,
Michel Petrovic

Unfortunately, this is a bug in the Thermo MSFileReader library we use to import Thermo RAW files. It was reported to Thermo multiple years ago now. There is not anything the Skyline project can do about the bug until we get a fixed library from Thermo.

But, we probably should update all tutorials that make use of Thermo data with an explanation of this issue, and the suggestion of using English (US) number format settings in order to import the tutorial data without issue.

The bug in MSFileReader when reading Thermo raw files with European number format settings has been fixed, and will be released in January with Skyline v2.5.
