Hi Brendan,

I tried to use Skyline to create peptide library from .mzid file (MSGF+ result), but Skyline failed and reported an error "No spectra were found for the new library".
However, when I converted .mzid file into .pepXML, it succeeded.
I wonder if this is a small bug. Tell me if you need any further information or file.
Thanks for your help!

Seems like PNNL is interested in building spectral libraries for Skyline, but running into issues building them directly from mzIdentML. Ideally, it seems they would want to build them from mzIdentML and raw data files, but it doesn't seem to work for mzIdentML and mzXML or mzML.

We should try to get this working better for them, and we should have a better error message than no spectra found, when the desired spectrum source file is not available.
