Title»applying transition filter settings (precursor only) to peptides
Assigned To»Brendan MacLean
Type»Defect
Area»Skyline
Priority»3
Milestone»1.1
We are trying to filter transitions by precursor. If we select "p" as the ion type under transition settings>filter, then no masses show up under the peptides. If we change the ion type to "p, y", then both precursor and y ions show up.

Hi Ed,
There is definitely more to reproducing this issue than the steps listed in your report. I have done a lot of manipulation of precursor ions, using the "p" ion type, and never encountered this problem. I just opened a simple SRM document, and tried the steps you list. They worked as expected.

I don't doubt what you saw, but I probably need the exact document you were using, and exact steps with that document to reproduce what you saw.

Thanks.
