Import Peptide Result Issue in 21.2.1.445 philip remes  2022-04-01 10:20

Use File - Import - Peptide Results, and choose a PDResult file. Presumably other types of peptide result would also cause an issue. The new layout here apparently allows a Score Type and Score Threshold instead of the old method where there was no Score Type, and the Score Threshold was global for all the files imported. Here there was no ability to change the Score Type or Score Threshold, so it wasn't possible to create the spectral library.

Would you mind sharing the pdresult file? You may upload it to https://skyline.ms/files.url or share it over email (kaipot@uw.edu).

Thanks,
Kaipo

Thank you for sharing the file. When you add a file to the grid, it has to do some reading on the file to determine the score type.
In the case of the file you've provided, it will eventually load the score but it takes a while unfortunately. I will fix this performance issue for the next version.

In the meantime, you may build libraries with BlibBuild/BlibFilter (https://skyline.ms/project/home/software/BiblioSpec/begin.view) directly from the command line to avoid waiting. The BlibBuild/BlibFilter executables are located in the same location as the Skyline-daily executable (see https://skyline.ms/wiki/home/software/Skyline/page.view?name=tip_recover_install on locating it, or you can right-click Skyline in the Task Manager and select "Open file location").

Thanks,
Kaipo

Great, thanks for the work around. Yes, I couldn't tell that something was being calculated, and so I sat there for a few minutes before pressing Cancel. In the end I made the library with the "normal" skyline build, and then could use it in the daily version.
