The structural biology and native mass spectrometry teams at Genentech are looking to recruit a joint contract research scientist (PhD level) for a 1-year term (with potential to extend) to work on a high impact project that aims to enrich the information gained from protein structure studies. The project will use complementary technologies across ion mobility, mass spectrometry, and imaging. We're hoping to find someone with experience in native MS or cryoEM, native protein preparation, hardware development, data analysis, and programming; candidates who have experience in some, but not all, of these areas are encouraged to apply, given that they are interested in learning and developing new skills. The ideal candidate will be able to lead their research projects independently and also collaborate with scientists in cross-disciplines. There will be opportunities for publication and dissemination of results. The position is competitively paid and includes benefits. It is a lab-based position located in SSF, CA at Genentech, Inc.
