The Department of Medicine, Translational Proteomics, Prof. Johannes Graumann, has an immediate opening for the permanent position of an Scientist Mass Spectrometry (m/f/d) to fill.

The position is full-time with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13, 100 %).

Your tasks include scientific services in research and teaching, in particular the development of methods for mass spectrometry-based proteomic analysis, for single-cell proteomics and proteomic characterization of post-translational modifications as well as the application of the methods in independent research projects and their scientific publication. Further application and project specific adaptation of the methods in the context of the Core Facility Translational Proteomics as well as contributions to teaching the fundamentals of mass spectrometry.

The university expects from its employees the willingness and capability to acquire and apply skills necessary for further assignments.
Requirements include a university degree (diploma, master or comparable) as well as a PhD in a bioanalytical field and several years of experimental experience in the field of mass spectrometry-based proteomics (supported by scientific publications). Further expected are familiarity with working in scientific environments, fluency in English (written and spoken, both) as well as experience in teaching the basics of mass spectrometry.
