The Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Biochemistry at Emory University School of Medicine will be responsible for developing methods to analyze lipid and protein biomarkers for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease from human erythrocytes and brain tissue. The assay will directly apply ion mobility mass spectrometry with emphasis on measuring and understanding the role of lipid and peptide isomers in neurodegenerative disease. The well qualified applicant will have a PhD in Biochemistry or closely related field and will have experience in the application of mass spectrometry including data analysis of proteins, peptide and lipid data.
