to support our team in the research and development of innovative immunotherapeutic products. You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from all research and preclinical/ clinical development departments. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.

The job profile is focused on the characterization and validation of novel HLA presented targets, which will involve but is not limited to the following tasks:
Characterization of HLA presented peptides using Immatics’ proprietary absolute quantitation technology (AbsQuantTM) to identify and validate the best targets for clinical development
Contribution to the elucidation of the biological mechanisms of novel cryptic targets using (targeted) proteomics analysis together with various Omics datasets integrated in Immatics’ XPRESIDENT® target discovery and validation platform
Coordination and project management of target characterization activities involving stakeholders from different departments and disciplines
Development of new strategies and methodologies for target characterization using a diverse set of protein chemistry and mass spectrometry techniques

Your profile
You hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or have been comparably educated and proven your scientific excellence and your ability to account for complex projects, preferentially with a track record in proteomics or immunopeptidomics. You are familiar with mass spectrometry data analysis and ideally have already gathered experience with targeted methodologies (such as SRM, MRM or PRM) and data independent acquisition. You show a high motivation to translate your scientific findings into clinical development and application. Preferably, you also have previous experience in large-scale data analysis and have already worked with relational databases. You take careful processing and documentation of your results for granted. Your scientific excellence, extraordinary analytical competence and communication skills enable you to successfully contribute to projects as part of a team and to present your work internally or to external partners from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
