Silicone isotope pattern: is it possible to add it? marcel reimann  2020-11-13 04:26

Hi Skyline Team,

I´m using Skyline in a kind of "off-label-use" for my GPC-MS. For that purpose it would be great to add also the silicone isotope pattern. Is there a way to add this to the skyline "automated isotop calculation"?
Adding it to the transition list import would be a nerve wrecking work.

Thank you in advance,

best Marcel

I do not understand your question. Can you tell us what you mean?

If you insert a precursor with a chemical formula into your Skyline document, you will get multiple transitions for the precursor corresponding to the monoisotopic, M+1, etc. masses, depending on what your "Isotope Peaks Included" setting at "Settings > Transition Settings > Full Scan".

It sounds like you must be asking about something else.

Skyline is already aware of the stable isotopes of Si (and all other elements), so this should not require any extra work on your part if you use the Skyline features that Nick mentions.
