Precursors per sample injection thinks it is transitions per sample injection philip remes  2020-04-04 16:27

Hi Brendan,

This is a repost of issue 723. Sorry I didn't know to first post to Support and not Issues.

I've attached the skyline file. To reproduce what I saw,

  1. File->Export->Isolation List
  2. Instrument Type -> Thermo Fusion. Interestingly, if I use the first Instrument in the list, Agilent QTOF, and enter 216 in max precursors, the number of methods is correctly set to 9
  3. For Fusion, if 216 is set to max precursors, the number of methods is 138.

Thanks
Philip

Hi all,

Just making sure this issue is still on the radar: I just came across it for a new assay. I think it's pretty clear it's a bug, and another piece of evidence for it is that the number of Methods to be output is different for different Vendor formats. I'm getting that Agilent QTOF and Thermo Q Exactive will calculate one number (the correct one) while the others will calculate the wrong number. My work around is

Thanks

Sorry we missed this one.

I think I see what is going wrong, and I have a proposed fix here:
https://github.com/ProteoWizard/pwiz/pull/1296

This will probably get fixed in the next update of Skyline-Daily.
