Mass Error and Mirror Plots sgoulding  2019-12-04 11:59

Hi, Skyline team.

I find the mirror plots very helpful when comparing synthetic to endogenous spectra but would love to see the mass error (in PPM relative to theoretical m/z) above the fragment ions. Is this possible? If not, would you please add this feature?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Hi Scott,
Good to hear from you. Hope you are doing well these days.

I was a little taken aback at the request. Surely we had this, since we show mass error PPM on the chromatograms now... But, it actually never got added to the Spectrum Match graph.

On the right-click menu, you can show both Ion m/z values (canonical calculated values) and Observed m/z values to 2 decimal places (around 10 ppm), which doesn't quite seem like enough for high accuracy mass spec.

Anyway, good idea. We will add Mass Error to this right-click list and show it in PPM.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, Brendan.

Same to you and thanks for the quick response. I look forward to seeing this feature in a future update.

With appreciation,
